Waiting on the Lord

Now that we have worshiped 2 Sundays and one Christmas Eve Service in the new building, and with the New year right around the corner, it is a good time to stop and reflect on the journey we have been on here at Son’s Life Missionary Church

For over 4 years now I have been privileged to meet with a group of people who have been committed to following the Lord and to the idea to make disciples of Jesus who make disciples. During that time we started by meeting in a home and then last year we started to rent space from Faith Bible Baptist Church and started semi-public meeting on Thursday nights.

This year in June right as I was about to start to look for space to rent to start Sunday morning services I received a call from the corporate headquarters asking if we might be interested in buying the old bank building in downtown Sebewaing. After much negotiating and a church plant grant we took ownership of the building in late August. I am still overwhelmed at how God worked through all of this and provided great space for us to meet.

Now that are using the building and finishing some trim items it is time to get serious about what we believe is our calling. We have taken a verse from 1 John 2:6 as our theme. The verse says; “Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus walked.” As Christians our model has to be Jesus. I invite you to come join us as we work to walk in the footsteps of Jesus.
