6:00 P.M. Seder Meal for Maundy Thursday

April 18 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The Seder meal is a festive holiday meal, which actually means “order.”  It is called this because the meal is done in a certain order which takes us from slavery to freedom.  The Haggadah – which means “the telling” – is a book used at the Passover Seder.  Passover is related to the Christian observances of Good Friday and Easter Sunday and the Islamic day of Ashura.   Passover is held to commemorate the liberation of the Jewish slaves from Egypt over 3,000 years ago.  The seder meal is a long symbolic dinner, which features a variety of foods that help tell the many parts of the passover story
